
Pascal Cohen
Pascal Cohen grew up in Paris, France in a happiness family of 3 brothers, from a mother Danseuse Etoile at the Opera de Paris and a father businessman working for an International American company.
Since his childhood, Pascal has always considered desserts and chocolates as the inescapable ending of any lunch or dinner. Still now, before starting his meal, Pascal is always choosing first his dessert and then decides about his food.
After being graduated in Paris with a master business degree, Pascal started his career in the private equity industry. After few years administrating, developing and merging businesses, Pascal Cohen decided in 1999 to accept the passionate challenge to bring back to the success one of the most historical and exclusive French chocolatier, Cote de France founded in 1936.
During 7 years, he input to the company his passion, his vision, his creativity and experience. The company became back a leader in France and in Japan under different brands as Cote de France or Satie and became, in between many recognitions, awarded by the media Best Dark Chocolate in 2004.
In 2007, to achieve his own American dream and give another future to his family, Pascal Cohen has extended his business development in the US. He also decided to move with his wife and two daughters in Florida.
The same year 2007, Saveur Magazine has identified one of his creation”, the chocolate caviar, as “Best 100 in the USA.
As the founder President & CEO of Foodinvestgroup, a specialized food brand and restaurants holding company, Pascal Cohen decided to merge and develop the madmac brand in partnership with the two former chef owner, Florian Bellanger and Ludovic Augendre.
Under his command, the brand decided as well to turn retail in 2010, reveal the unique values of the company, extend the families of products and open the two first stores in Florida, in North Miami December 2010 and in Bal Harbour Shops, in February 2011, the most exclusive and unique luxury mall in the US.
